Whitewater Kayak

A whitewater kayak manufactured from an acquired set of molds using fibreglass hand layup and assembly over approximately two weeks.

After getting a set of kayak molds, I decided to use them to build a whitewater kayak for myself.

Over about two weeks, I made the fibreglass hull and deck using hand layup, then joined the two halves together to complete the kayak.

It was a simple composite project, but it gave me more hands-on experience with mould-based fibreglass work and finishing. The kayak was completed successfully and still gets used occasionally.
